We have 2 scholarships. Why not give them to 2 guys who will only be here a year because they were seniors and transferred to play right away?
Re: Offer Justin Tillman 2014
Let's play a game of "Who said it?"
“There were problematic things throughout the entire program. This is not an indication of how I feel about Louis Orr. There is not a finer, more genuine and honest man than Louis Orr. I have a lot of respect for him.”
“I believe that recruiting is a constant process that you have to be involved in no matter where you are, no matter who you are. I firmly believe it is important for us to have a very strong and visible presence in the metropolitan area in regards to recruiting.”
“It's absolutely essential for us to be in people's gyms, in people's homes, out at people's high school games. We've gotta go get players.”
If you guessed Joe Quinlan, the athletic director at Seton Hall who dismissed Orr in 2006, you are correct.

In other words, flood the new AD's email as soon as the address is created.

Absolutely, but to paraphase Hal Holbrook's line from The Firm, an AD at that level shouldn't have to open the inbox. Looking at the record and watching one game will probably do the trick.guest44 wrote:In other words, flood the new AD's email as soon as the address is created.

If you're looking for a college basketball coach who's on the hot seat, Seton Hall's Louis Orr unfortunately is your man.
In response to a story in Saturday's Post, Seton Hall released a terse statement asserting that coach Orr's contract would not be bought out. But Orr now faces a make-or-break season in which to salvage his position, The Post has learned.
"Rumors of a buyout of Louis Orr's contract are untrue," said Sister Paula Maris Buley, Seton Hall's vice president for administration. "Monsignor [Robert] Sheeran has stated his commitment to Coach Orr and looks ahead to a strong season."
The Post reported that some key power brokers at The Hall were looking to buy out Orr over concerns that the program is in disarray.
Since going 12-16 last season, the Pirates have lost their top recruit and had another player foolishly declare for the NBA Draft. Athletic director Jeff Fogelson, who hired Orr four years ago, recently announced his resignation. Sources said the relationship between Fogelson and Sheeran had become strained.
Sources told The Post that Orr will get one more season and will have to produce dazzling results. In that time, the university will have found a replacement for Fogelson and be better positioned to make a move.
Orr is 62-57 in four seasons, but Fogelson's resignation combined with the transfer of Justin Cerasoli and the departure of J.R. Morris has shaken the program.
