The title game was scheduled on STO but now with the game scheduled for tomorrow I don't think it will be shown live. Conflict with the Indians Red Sox. I'm hoping it will be tape delay. Go Falcons!

A quick question(s) - - - for those who follow more closely, who do you think we can/will put on the hill? Who is the best pitcher we have left w/any rest after this weekend?

I went to Avon today and watched both of BG's games. In the first game UT's pitcher had us completely bottled up, we just couldn't hit him. In fact, for the day, BG really struggled to score period as we plated just three runs combined in two games, but we made the lone run in the second game count. Although, for those of us there, we likely woulda/coulda/shoulda scored a second run on one of the more bizarre plays I have seen. In the 7th inning leading 1-0, BG had Rait on second with one out and Bien lined a single to shallow left field and as Rait was rounding third, he was "held up"....and when I say held up, I mean literally, not figuratively. As Rait rounded third, third base coach Spencer Schmidt looked to wrapped him up to stop him. It happened right in from of the Toledo dugout and the Rockets erupted as you would expect. Our baserunner was correctly called out out on the play and thankfully it didn't cost us the game. It happened pretty quickly and was unexpected, but it looked like Rait was being waved around then all of a sudden was then being held up after he rounded third. UT's left fielder appeared to be in position to throw him out at home if he went home with the throw, but funny enough, he didn't even look home and lazily went to second to hold Bien from advancing. It appeared Schmidt was sending Rait home, then tried to hold him up, and when Rait put on the brakes he sort of froze in front of Schmidt and Schmidt seemed he more or less acted out what he was thinking he wanted him to do by wrapping him up and helping him get back to third. Clearly a strange play and one Schmidt didn't intentionally mean to do. I was so thankful UT didn't score and tie it up because Toledo tripled in the next inning. It was a strange play and maybe didn't happen exactly as I described but that's what it looked like to all of us around me. But we got by despite it and won the game.

Anyway, we are one win away from not only a MAC Championship, bit also an NCAA Tournament appearance! I'm not sure where we're going to go for pitching, but if we can get some and manage to get the offense going, we could make this a very memorable season. Despite not playing Ball State in MAC play, we did split a pair of non-conference games with the Cardinals with each team winning on the road. GO BG! BEAT BALL STATE!

Get out the ice & ibuprofen---regardless of who and when pitched last, this will be a team effort to get us to the NCAA's!! Go Falcons!!
