Tom Lichtenberg passed away over the past weekend. He was brought in by Gary Blackney in 2000 (his final year) to install and coordinate a new offense. He fell ill and eventually ceded duties to one Dino Dawson. The results were disastrous and almost everyone got fired with Dawson winding up at Toledo the next year, forshadowing the path of Matt "Hair Gel" Campbell.
Coach Lichtenberg resurfaced a few years later as an assistant at Drake before calling it quits. Dawson is now a "Sales Talent" who hilariousely converted his years of college coaching experience into weird corporate-speak on LinkedIn:

All of that just to say.....
National Sales ♦ Recruiter ♦ Team Coordinator ♦ Contract Negotiations ♦ Account Management ♦
Bowling Green State University
Educational Institution; 5001-10,000 employees; Higher Education industry
January 1994 – January 2001 (7 years 1 month) Bowling Green, OH
I represented the University in the local community as the point person to develop relationships with major customers, at civic functions and networking in the community with clients.
♦ I was responsible for planning, developing, implementing and revising organization policies, operations, and goals.
♦ My strategic planning required me to develop and execute an annual business plan regarding our weekly travel, meals and hotel.
♦ My knowledge of business procedures and processes, I was able to re-negotiate previous vendor contracts in the areas of hotels, meals and travel.
Territory Management :Led expansion into the Georgia market, while charting additional growth into Alabama, Mississippi and South Florida markets.
Accomplishments:
The end result was saving my department thousands of dollars and at years end, coming far under budget.
...and here I thought he was an Assistant Football Coach while here.

Pretty much what he said:
I represented the University in the local community as the point person to develop relationships with major customers, at civic functions and networking in the community with clients.
Hitting on ladies is now called "networking"
My knowledge of business procedures and processes, I was able to re-negotiate previous vendor contracts in the areas of hotels, meals and travel.

I can see how "territory management" would be an asset in this arena.
The end result was saving my department thousands of dollars and at years end, coming far under budget.
Any time you come under budget is a good thing.
