Ohio in the logo Graphic wizards
I was thinking the other day that it might be cool if we had an outline of the state of Ohio as the bottom part of the G in the BG logo. Any graphic wizards able to throw that together?

Not what you were requesting, but I have this image sitting around. I like when the state is included, I know Kent has the outline on the back of their football helmets....

I envision something where the Bottom part of the G is cut out of an Ohio logo. I think if BG embraced Ohio, that would be a good thing.

Or even if the Falcon Logo on the bottom was the bottom part of Ohio?

The state of Bowling Green might include a piece of Indiana and MAYBE even Michigan,...just to be different.

I played around with it some. I think this is what you were thinking of Globe. It looks awkward. I don't like it, but I'll post it anyway (and if for some copyright reason I need to take it down please let me know and I will do so.) Cool idea but when done it looks to me like someone took a bite out of the logo ...

I think your work looks awesome, but I agree there is something awkward about it. Not sure if its because I am so used to the old one or if it really looks bad. But great work.MarkL wrote:I played around with it some. I think this is what you were thinking of Globe. It looks awkward. I think it is because there is an elegance to the logo. Any alterations, even small ones, stand out since they detract from that elegance.

I like it a lot too, but I worry that only people who recognize the state of Ohio outline will get it. Given the state of geography education today they'll think it's the droppings left by the bird.

I actually am really liking it now.
Re: Ohio in the logo Graphic wizards
It was a five minute gimp (open source take on photoshop) job. I can't say I really like it at all. In fact I far prefer DD's Ohio BG logo.
