Come on Globe......the highlight of the BGSU off-season was the assistant coach making the Ohio Hall of Fame as a player. In Lou we trust. #FireOrr

In news involving Bowling Green basketball - head coach Louis Orr was spotted taking a walk in his neighborhood. Orr reportedly stopped to watch a robin feeding on a worm in his neighbor's yard following an afternoon rain shower. Orr was overheard commenting "would you look at that" as the robin feasted on its find. He then stopped to check his mailbox before retiring comfortably inside his home for the evening.......(cue the crickets).....Globetrotter wrote:ATHENS, Ohio – Ohio University men’s basketball head coach Jim Christian has announced the addition of guard Rio Adams to the 2013-14 roster. Ohio also has a verbal from a 4-star, Scout Top 100 player for 2014-15 - Tariq Owens.

I bet that robin could average double figures, maybe he/she gets one of the final 2 scholarships. #FireOrr

Highly competitive Division I basketball team vs. listless, milquetoast NAIA Bible College.
Mr. Kingston, start getting the names ready. Jent, Boals, Alexander, Lutz, whomever, a 36 million dollar arena and a slumbering giant awaits you.

Von Graffin is available.

Well someone better tell Mr. Kingston to get his favorite liquor ready in time for the annual winter long brick fest. The annual single digit exhibition game with a D3/Internet based college, in which the starters play 30 minutes, should be plenty for him to realize he will be making a hire in March.
Re: Ohio U Basketball...where basketball actually happens
Ah, nothing inspires confidence more than just barely pulling away in the final minutes during an exhibition game. Swap Graffin and Orr right now and we'd have a better record next year.
At the press conference, Kingston called himself a "basketball junkie" and said he had a 45 minute conversation with Bill Frack after taking the job. He then paraphrased Jim Valvano in telling him to "never give up." Is there something going on we don't know?

Swap Graffin for any of the current assistant coaches, and BG would have a better record.
Re: Ohio U Basketball...where basketball actually happens
Please don't swap Lamomta Stone for him. That's the best entertainment in the game, wondering which player he's gonna try to fight with and if that player is a member of his own team. Exciting!!guest44 wrote:Swap Graffin for any of the current assistant coaches, and BG would have a better record.

Louis Orr will be our coach for the 2013-2014 season. No one is under any obligation to be happy about that fact, but let's not delude ourselves into thinking there's going to be a change made before the season.

Off topic slightly, but I won't miss Graffin at BGHS.

I sure can't wait to see Orr unleash all these "scorers" we return this year. You know, the ones we had planted on the bench when we struggled like hell to score outside of two players who are no longer with us. When I read him saying that about this upcoming season, I about fell out of my chair.
GO BG!!!
