The jerseys are sharp, also doesn't hurt that EA partnered with Adidas for equipment so getting the jerseys in this year weren't a problem. The Doyt looks pretty awesome in the game as well.

The NCAA name doesn't really mean anything, EA Sports can still make college football games since they have a deal with the CLC (Collegiate Licensing Company). EA has already announced that next year's game will be called College Football '15. They provide all the logos and university trademarks to EA. The only reason EA partnered with the NCAA was to get the rights to use the March Madness and Final Four names, but they no longer make a college basketball game. If Ed O'Bannon wins his case against the NCAA, they might go after the CLC next, which could squash any college video games from ever being made again.

Its a tricky situation because there's so many parties involved. My guess is that college video games as a whole will be gone in 4-5 years due to this. Problem is, NCAA athletes can't form a union or anything to be able to receive compensation for jersey sales, video games, etc. The NCAA though has all but admitted to it with their recent pulling of selling jerseys on their website. My guess is that the buck will be passed to each university to be responsible for compensating the players from which they sell jerseys for.

The AAU in the 70's and 80's was worse than the NCAA...but that's like saying Jeffrey Dahmer was worse than John Gacy. The NCAA allows you get a paycheck in one sport and still be an "amatuer" in another but you can't make any money from endorsements. That alwas struck me as being particularly stupid...

The biggest issue I have with the NCAA is that they think they can own your name. If I want to sign my autograph for money, or sell jerseys with my name on it, I should be able to and be able to get paid for it. This will likely be changing once the O'Bannon case gets resolved.

Players being allowed to sell autographs are such a slippery slope. "Come to Alabama, our boosters pay 5 figures for a 5 star recruit's autograph."
