Colorado State at Tulsa...

Post by Falconfreak90 »

Probably belongs in the other schools forum but since we just BLASTED the Golden Summer Breeze, I saw they are on CBS Sports at 7pm vs the Rams. This is channel 158 on Dish. I figured we'll be home from the BG/Kent game by 5:30 and I'll put 'er on.

Tulsa didn't even come close to blasting them. The pulled it out of their azz making a field goal on the last play of the game winning it 30-27. They trailed the majority of the game.

Sometimes a shocking loss can derail a season or at least a few games. Hopefully for Tulsa's sake they don't let us beat them next week and beyond.

I think Kent State is a better team than Tulsa. At least at this point on the season.

Kent was better than I expected. Offense came out ready to play.

Kudos to Kent State for their effort...without Archer. But man did we shut them down in the 2nd half.

FWIW,
I don't know the final score, but Tulsa DID win this game....and since this WAS the thread title I thought it'd be nice to mention that.

You don't suppose he blocked BGFan?

I caught the tail end of the Tulsa game. Their top WR, Keyarris Garrett suffered a pretty gruesome broken leg on their drive that led to the winning FG. Probably the quickest I've seen them bring a cart on the field.

I also saw the end of this game. Credit Tulsa for coming back but they still don't look anything like the team they were last year. I think they'll be right there at the end in a much more watered down C-USA this year. I also saw that injury at the end on slow motion, looked like the lower part of his leg about the ankle may have snapped. Awful to see.

I've never seen a Kicker iced as long as Tulsa's was.

That was a long stretch. To his credit, he drilled it. Of course, if he missed they didn't lose on it either, they just would have gone to OT.
