Wisconsin, yes Boise State...no. I'll probably make a few of the conference road games as well.

We're talking about doing the Wisconsin trip, but Boise? That's a bit of a stretch, and it also depends on if I get screwed over on scheduling this semester again...

Wisconsin = Yes
Boise = Yes

I wouldn't miss either one of those games. The Boise game may even be more fun than the Wisconsin game. Sometimes smaller/packed crowds make for a more exciting game. I get the feeling that game is going to be a real thriller. Besides, I'll get to see the blue turf in person.

Detroit to Salt Lake to Boise

Interesting prices for the trip to Boise. The cheapest I found using Orbitz is $292 but involves three segments each way. Still, for under $300, not too bad.

Leave Fri, Sep 16 United Airlines 365
Depart Detroit: 8:30am
Arrive in Chicago: 8:55am
Economy | 1hr 25min | Airbus A320 |

Change planes. Time between flights: 1hr 20min

United Airlines 265
Depart Chicago: 10:15am
Arrive in Salt Lake City: 12:32pm
Economy | 3hr 17min | Boeing 737 |

Change Airline. Time between flights: 1hr 18min

Delta Air Lines 3987 operated by SkyWest Airlines
Depart Salt Lake City: 1:50pm
Arrive in Boise, ID: 2:55pm
Economy | 1hr 5min | Canadair |
Total duration: 8hr 25min

Return Sun, Sep 18 Delta Air Lines 1172
Depart Boise, ID: 1:15pm
Arrive in Salt Lake City: 2:18pm
Economy | 1hr 3min | Boeing 737 |

Change Airline. Time between flights: 1hr 27min

United Airlines 420
Depart Salt Lake City: 3:45pm
Arrive in Chicago: 7:44pm
Economy | 2hr 59min | Boeing 737 |

Change planes. Time between flights: 1hr 31min

United Airlines 332
Depart Chicago: 9:15pm
Arrive in Detroit: 11:20pm
Economy | 1hr 5min | Airbus A320 | View seats
Total duration: 8hr 5min

Maybe I do want to see the smurf turf after all.

Still too early to purchase tickets now (I know I'll be regretting that statement in June).

Mapquest says 5 hours, 10 minutes and 339 miles but that includes 263 miles on I-84, so I'd guess less than 5. :)
