Alright, so we have a pretty tough stretch coming up here at the end of the year. Currently, we are in 5th place in the conference, and this is our remaining schedule:
02/04/2005 Bowling Green @ Ferris St Big Rapids, Mich.
02/05/2005 Bowling Green @ Ferris St Big Rapids, Mich.
02/11/2005 Bowling Green @ Ohio St Columbus, OH
02/12/2005 Bowling Green @ Ohio St Columbus, OH
02/18/2005 Western Michigan @ Bowling Green Bowling Green, Ohio
02/19/2005 Western Michigan @ Bowling Green Bowling Green, Ohio
02/25/2005 Michigan St @ Bowling Green Bowling Green, Ohio
02/26/2005 Bowling Green @ Michigan St East Lansing, Mich.
03/04/2005 Michigan @ Bowling Green Bowling Green, Ohio
03/05/2005 Bowling Green @ Michigan Ann Arbor, Mich.
I think this weekend is a four-pointer. Ferris isn't having too great of a season and coming off of our convincing weekend against the Irish, the guys should be fired up. At OSU, I think we will be lucky to get one or two points, not because we are that bad, they are just that good (remember, they took four from Michigan at home). We should take 3-4 against Western, although that is going to be tough as well. I think we take 3 from Michigan State, with a win at home that Friday. And, I think we suprise a lot of people and split with Michigan on the final weekend fo the year (win at home, lose at Yost).
By my math, that means we pick up 13-15 points the rest of the way. That should be enough to lock up home ice, and with a not-too-shabby position, either.
Perhaps I'm being a bit too optomistic, though. So, brush off your hockey thinking caps and weigh in! Teams like Miami have a pretty favorable schedule down the stretch, and I can't imagine having a tougher remaining schedule, so let me know what you think. Hockey makes me WAY too nervous!

Ferris can surprise you if your not playing up to par. However, I think we could easily take a sweep this weekend if the team comes ready to play like last weekend. I'm nervous about tOSU. That's a great squad that plays tough at home. As far as the scUM go? Mark my words: BGSU WILL SWEEP UM.

The team is totally focused on Ferris, and altho I know that (as fans) we like to speculate about such things, I think we should focus on Ferris. Get a carpool together and make the trip! It's only a four hour drive, and with Saturday's early game time, you can see both games, and just stay over one night. Ferris' rink is the armpit of the league, and the fans are brutal...it's a tough place to play. The team sure notices those blocks of Orange in the stands. Don't look past Ferris, even with their poor record, they have some quality wins this year (Michigan, Ohio State and Wisconsin)

I really want to go, but I am finding it impossible to get anyone to go with me.
