Surprisingly, a low scoring affair. 20-14 B G S U! Two red zone field goals is the difference.

This IU offense is legit. Legit O line, outstanding and physical receivers, great passing game, they have it all. Their defense ... not so much. Think of BG in 2004. Our defense is outstanding, and speaking of 2004, I think this may be the best offense since 2004. I'm taking BG by multiple possessions and a dominating second half following outstanding halftime adjustments.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Re: IU game
First off, I'm throwing all stats from the Indiana State game out the window for the Hoosiers. 73 points? Really? If ISU had any kind of defense, there is no way that happens. However, they fact that the IU defense gave up 35 points to them tells me a lot. Their defense is porous and I think that our receivers and QB will be able to take advantage of that.
The biggest workload is going to be placed on the defense. Our secondary has to be ready. I hope they were running all week in preparation. Clearly, we don't have Brandonitis (failure to make 2nd half adjustments) anymore, as was evidenced by the complete shut down of the Kent State offense last Saturday. I kind of expect a similar style game - shoot out in the 1st half, shutout in the 2nd. I think BG wins and does so in non-nailbiting fashion.
Final score - 48 - 21

According to John Wagner, Chief should be in, as well as Hopgood. Hunter is practicing with a cast, no word on his availability for the season, Walker is doubtful.

US 41
Them 38
I think this one comes down to a key turnover.

Can't wait for Saturday. I think TOP will be critical, especially in the second half. I'm looking for Houston to play a huge part in that.

Has anyone been to, Oliver Winery? They have an actual winery outside of Bloomington and looks like a location downtown. May have to stop and get a few bottles.
