"Smoked" would be putting it mildly...come into a game with a 5 run lead to get some work in...give up...a single, single, TRIPLE...ground out scoring the guy from 3rd, single, HOMER (from a guy who doesn't hit all that many), another out, another single...bye bye Mr. Perez.

This AL wild card is looking a bit wilder.... TBay lost to Toronto, the Indians were 12-6 winners over Minn., despite keeping Cleve. fans on edges of seats due to a 9-1 lead becoming 9-6, before putting it away....and the Rangers scored late to win 5-3 over Angels.... SO.... TB and CLE now "tied" for the two WC spots with Texas only 1 game behind them.

GO TRIBE !!!!!! \:D/

OK! The tribe is officially IN! Won TEN in a row to conclude the season. Host a WC game on WED. nite... I tried to order tix today and found the CHEAPEST seats were in the $95-115 range.... guess I'll just watch on TV rather than sit up in the fifth level. #-o

Hopefully they get # 11 or the postseason will be over as quick as it started.

Good luck. Unfortunately, the "Little Sisters of the Poor" portion of the schedule has ended. ;)

Tom,
I won't argue that the tribe screwed up royally against the tigers this year...but honestly take a look at the Detroit overall record against those same "little sisters" and I think you'll find they're much worse overall than the Indians.... a Final ONE game difference in the standings when they've beaten the Indians head to head something like 15-4 says they couldn't have done very well against the rest of their schedule. :-k

Either way, I'm hoping that both the Tribe and Tigs win to eventually play each other in the ALDS....who knows how or what might happen?

Well, we won't have to worry about that matchup....the Tribe couldn't get the key hit tonite; the Rays did...and that's all she wrote. I wasn't familiar with the TB starting pitcher, then found out he'd beaten us earlier in the season 6-0...so the Indians went TWO games against this guy with nothing to show for it.
T.Bay is really a good team...honestly I thought Texas was a better matchup for us due to less pitching, but it "was what it was". :|
