Post by poltergeist »

results are in, no big shockers.
heh, four of the 25 voting media are NW Ohio homeboys, and we still didn't get any first-place votes. But Bemidji did--wonder who threw that vote? lol. ;-)

Nice to see a few Falcons on the preseason voting:
Thomas Sholl - Preseason Rookie of the Year
Ryan Carpenter - Preseason All WCHA Team Forward
Ralfs Freisberg - Preseason All WCHA Team Defensemen

And special KUDOS to Drew Evans and Kevin Meyers for representing BG HOCKEY in the voting!! :supz:

DROP THE PUCK!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."
~~USCHO Poster
"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I think this just shows what most people already know about this season. Nobody knows what to expect. Hopefully there'll be some great hockey to watch. And lots more wins than losses for BGSU.

Man, I wish we had another year in the CCHA. It would have been good to see our boys will start strong and finish in the top four, or better.

not all that homer-ish. restrained in its homer-ishness. :-D
like your pick of Ralfs! and picking Huntsville over Anchorage. Huntsville's suffered a lot, hope they can start the long hard climb to respectability.
but why Lake Superior so high, and Tech so low?
cheers.
