But I might still want to red-shirt him so he can have four years with a new coaching staff.
That's a nice idea. We're already sitting on 2 scholarships rather than have 2 player-years wasted during Orrs final year.

I'd like to redshirt Sealey as well. That way, he'll at least Sealey would get to play one year under a presumably legitimate D1 coach....rather than sit behind an inferior coach's son who otherwise wouldn't be on a D1 roster.

I asked both Carle and Knavel why they only used 11 scholarships. Have not heard back.

Just read article in Sentinel and no mention of Chauncey Orr. Seemed all the others were mentioned.

Assuming we have a new coach next year, Tisdale could have a great career here. Just haven't seen much good guard play in Orr's time but have seen talented guards.

Does anyone know what injuries Sealey and Denny have? Especially Denny, as I remember hearing he had an injury months ago. Sounds like it has either really lingered or was slow/needing lots of time to heal. Lord knows we're gonna need his shooting! As for Sealey, chalk him up as another guy in the Orr tenure who has tons of athleticism and ripe with potential that just seems to never really grasp what he can do out there consistently. But he's worth the price of admission alone for some of the lobs he finishes at the rim! Damn that kid can sky and finish! If he could just develop his overall game....

I wonder if they would let one of us/or me go sit in on practice and then do a write up. That would be fun.
Carle, Clarified that Mayleben is most definitely a post. But it seems they can both stretch with some range.

What a difficult job this must be following this team. I am planning to read the Sentinel more.
