I wasn't going to jump in cuz I wanna enjoy 2013 but...

IF Coach Claw leaves, I would love to see DJ Durkin back at BG. Young, up and coming and has been a big part of building a brick house D unit at the U of F. He's a former BG player as well.

My uninformed list.
1. Mike Elko http://www.bgsufalcons.com/coaches.aspx ... all&rc=258
2. DJ Durkin http://www.gatorzone.com/football/staff/durkin
3. Greg Strudrawa http://www.lsusports.net/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=750599
I would say that's my top 3 as well if it were to happen. Will be interesting to see what other names would pop up due to Kingston's connections if Dave does move on

Let's cross that bridge when we get there. As I recall we have a really big game Saturday. Focus on that.

Agreed with MarkL. If we want to speculate on new coaches, let's move to the basketball forum.

If you don't like the conversation get out of the thread.

If for some idiotic reason you think it's appropriate to talk about a coach leaving but not appropriate to talk about his successor please spare us in this thread that are capable of logical thought your insight

You are clearly capable of reading. You can read the title.

Here's the deal. We all love Clawson. We all know that maybe, just maybe he will be coaching elsewhere soon and if so, he's earned it and we all are happy for him.

WE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN PICKING A REPLACEMENT FOR CLAWSON RIGHT NOW BECAUSE WE ARE HAPPY TO HAVE HIM AS OUR COACH.

We are NOT happy with Orr. Orr should have probably been let go before now, and the writing is on the wall that he's on his way out soon. We are interested in replacing Orr and are interested in naming candidates because we want a replacement ... now.

There you go.

Do you walk into a room walk up to people talking and tell them you don't want to be a part of their conversation because you don't like the topic?

I do. They appear offended at first, but they usually shut up out of annoyance.

Quick note before I get back to game planning and watching film for Saturday.

Durkin would be great. But, most top level BCS coordinators make more than we pay a head coach.

Back to the film room.

It wouldnt surprise me if people on this board actually did that. And thought they were right in doing so. Like a particular person who hasn't posted for months and decided that he just had to end his silence. I just can't fathom how someone can think thats an apropriate way to act in any area of society.

Bad analogy.

Posting on an internet message board is an implicit invitation for comments-- both positive and negative. Part of that invitation should be the expectation of comments on how appropriate your suggested topic is.

Your comparison to a conversation in a room would be more appropriate if applied to a stream of IMs or some such thing. That is, a private conversation among a group of people on a specific subject.
