I do. They appear offended at first, but they usually shut up out of annoyance.
Yeah...I do that too, kind of. I usually just tell them to shut the hell up because they sound like idiots....same general outcome though.
C'mon people...it's TU week. We should be talking about our dislike for the marital aids in blue and gold, not who's going to take over for our coach who isn't even leaving...yet. And yes...I reserve the right to talk about Louis Orr's replacement. Looking forwar to the day they wake up Louiee to tell him he's gone is the only real bright spot in men's hoops

We're going to learn a lot about Clawson during this game. He can go a long way in shedding the reputation of being unable to win the big one. The talent is fairly even so a coaching edge over the 33 year old on the other side would be nice.
This is the game to break tendencies and mix in a trick play or 3 that we've been saving for a time like this.
I think the threads where you name a coach we are playing next and then say things about them are really dumb. I ignore them and let people who like them talk in them. It has never once occurred to me to go in there and say this thread is dumb.
I'm fed up with the board. How in the hell is this negative. Nobody wants him to leave. How can you say it's ok to talk about him possibly leaving but not his successor? I can't comprehend how silly the Matt Campbell where's jorts thread is. And this is dumb.
I'm with Globe on this one. We all agree that we love coach and don't want him to go. And yes we are playing Toledo. But we are not players or coaches that can only talk about/focus on the now. This is a forum to discuss anything BG Football related. People can share their opinions/ask for others without others saying its stupid, ect.
I'm always somebody that chooses not to plan for the worst. I always plan for the best. By discussing the coach potentially leaving would be discussing the worst. By picking his successor is planning for the worst. Not a fan of either topic, but this topic is more of a plan of action based on a possibility, whereas the other is simply a discussion of a possibility.
Eh...Globe is the guy who does roster threads three years in advance...looking far ahead is his thing...nothing wrong with it. I just thought it was kind of odd to start a discussion like that before one of the three BIG games we have left (TU, OU SUNY Buff). Didn't mean to start a war...
Any way.....I will not tolerate a comparison between a thread like this and the coach whatever does whatever threads. Those are an institution here since 2004 when someone...I forget who...discovered that the Oklahoma people did that on their board every week. I wasn't a math major, but I'm pretty sure that's almost 10 years. 10 years is a lot...

The AD may be making out his own list after today's debacle. I would hope he's at least looking around, considering Clawson's horrid record against UT, in bowls and other games with anything meaningful on the line.
If this season devolves into another disappointment (no MAC East title, another bowl loss), then it's time for a change.
UT has now won four games in a row against BG. That is NOT acceptable to me. I would hope it's not acceptable to the guy who does the hiring.
