Let's outdraw EMU at their place!

Post by BGSU33 »

I know EMU's attendance is pathetic, but let's get a good crowd up there next week and make it a "home" game for us. It's on a Saturday and isn't far from BG.
GO BG!!!

If memory serves, they had 2,100 people at their last game.

Bring the cheerleaders and that should be accomplished.

It would be nice to see a couple thousand there. Count me in. I remember the impressive crowd we had at Kent State. Probably because of a lot of alums in the area, but with an opponent close to our campus like a EMU, it would be great to see a good turnout of BG fans. Especially for those who were unable to make it to the home finale last night.

I'll be there for sure, only a 45 minute drive and Ypsilanti is an awesome town.

There's a lot of nice bars and Aubree's Tavern has some of the best pizza this side of Myles.

Man...whenever I've gone to Ypsi I've just tried to get the hell out of there as soon as possible.

Ann Arbor, OTOH, I freaking love.

I'll take being in the minority on this one. I like Depot Town a lot. Ann Arbor is definitely a treasure and I think more people should visit there in the region.

What does being an artist have to do with going to the EMU game? :smt017
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

It sure is a treasure. I had a good buddy of mine that went to EMU, but we still never really did any hanging out in Ypsi...don't know why.

Ann Arbor is awesome though...I always laugh at the OSU fans that scoff about it being a whore or something (whatever that means). To me Ann Arbor is what BG would become if the University had 100k students...and I love it. Great food, great bars, GORGEOUS campus. As much as I love BG there are times I ask why I didn't go to UM just to spend more time in that city. But I can't complain about the education/experience I had at BG either.
