Props to Clawson, his staff and the players

Post by kdog27 »

I have been very vocal in my frustration and dissatisfaction following the MSU and UT games so it's only right to give praise when it us due. They have looked like a totally different team the past 2 weeks. Yeah Miami sucks and OU has probably packed it in but we usually play down to bad opponents and let them hang around too long. The last 2 weeks we have acted like the better team from the first snap. Much better play calling and execution. I think we all knew this team was capable of this so it's nice to see some games won before halftime.

I concur. I was skeptical they'd come out and blast a team on the ropes -- but they did it.

Now keep up this intensity to the end of the season and I'll believe Clawson is the man for this job.

Great win....60 minutes of focused, angry football. Two down...two to go...
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

BG has outscored the competition 94-3 over the last two games. NINETY-FOUR TO THREE. I don't care who we were playing, that is ridiculously good.

I still think better days are ahead for this program. I believe we are in the hunt this season and will be THE TEAM to beat from the pre-season on in the coming years. Patience is the key. It takes time to build the right mentality with the right personnel and this process is starting to pay off. Clawson is building for multiple seasons not a one-hit wonder team.
I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.

How awesome would it be if next season we are 12-0 at the end along with NIU? What a thrill. (Do we play NIU in a crossover next year?)

If we beat Wisconsin in Wisconsin I would be happy enough.

If we play like this vs EMU and Buffalo we're headed to Detroit! Total domination!

Keeping the horribly devastating and sickening loss to Toledo in mind, these last two games have been more than impressive. Obviously more so this one, but to come out and play like we did against Miami was impressive as well. That would have been the perfect time to let a team like Miami stick around for a while. Maybe come out less inspired with the UT game still in mind and knowing you are playing a very weak team. Huge credit to the players and Clawson. They have definitely proven that nothing can break their focus of winning the MAC.

We always seem to find ourselves on the short end of the stick in tight games, so I guess we now know the way to correct that problem --- blow everyone out and make it a laugher by halftime. That works for me.
