I'd rather play a team we can beat. We ain't beating NIU, so bring on BSU or TU.

You can beat NIU by playing good defense and holding the ball and maximizing your drives on offense. They're not unbeatable force, and they've had their struggles with a few teams this season.

Yes, but I never said that.

Football is about matchups...and I don't see us being able to handle a running QB like Lynch. Sure we can, but I don't think we will. Our chances increase exponentially against Ball or UT.

Ball State would shred us as well. Wenning will be in the NFL next year and is a better QB prospect than Lynch is. He might be the best QB prospect since Roethlisberger. I'm sure we could force Lynch to become one-dimensional. We did pretty well against Miss St. this year in this regard.

Either way, I hope we get the chance...let's worry about Buffalo first!

Love this combo:

I like that combo best, too. I was skeptical of the white helmets at first, but I like them now.

Nothing compares. The only jersey I have ever considered purchasing.

I own that jersey. It's great. I would like to see more brown. The football team hasn't worn a stitch of it all year that I've seen. But, given the range of combinations we've seen the past couple of seasons, I do like the one Falcon137 shared.

A possible BG-UT rematch is looking more and more like a possibility. Obviously, BG would need to win the East, but if the West ends in three-way tie (I wouldn't be surprised to see UT beat NIU next week), UT would seal the deal with the MAC East crossover games as UT has beaten BG and UB. Ball State and NIU didn't even play BG or UB. The Rockets would easily win that tie-breaker.

Better get your shots after a three-way involving Toledo...

It doesn't really matter that Toledo beat UB and us as far as the tiebreaker goes. It just matters that they played us and them. It's the winning percentage of your crossover opponents, not that you beat them.

And Toledo has already wrapped this up because Ball State had crossover games against Akron, Kent and winless Miami, while Northern had crossovers with Akron, Kent and UMAss.

That was a great game with a heartbreaking finish....just like this year's game was but that year had much more riding on it.
