Wapakoneta Rules!
I orginally hail from Wapakoneta as well. Schad, your pronunciation looks solid. Most people in town just call it Wapak - pronounced Wau-pauk.
Most of our high school teams have just "Wapak" on their jerseys, presumably to save on silk-screening so many letters.

And I pronounce it "Wa pa kuh NET uh."
Like you said we play at T-OSU in 2010. Maybe we could schedule Urbie and the Gators, or OKlahoma or Alabama. After all some of these schools do owe us a return home game.

Speaking of the Gators. Urban's coming to UK on Sept. 24th. I may just have to go to this game with all of my BG stuff on.bgsufan1972 wrote:Like you said we play at T-OSU in 2010. yeah, we get cincy at yager next year, but it's a rivalry game. we play them every year, alternating venues. we lead the all time series something like 58-43. we pretty much hate them, but their move to the big east will help us with having a bcs school at yager every other year - if you really want to include the big east in the bcs.thewebboy wrote:I was just wondering who was the biggest/most popular school (non-MAC) to ever play us in at the Doyt?
I see how Miami OH gets Cincinnati next year, CMU has Indiana.. when is it our turn to have a bigger school at home? (temple doesn't count!)

Xavier also really hates Cincy. I thought it was funny a couple years ago when you brought in Xavier students to root against the Bearcats.redhawk95 wrote:yeah, we get cincy at yager next year, but it's a rivalry game. we play them every year, alternating venues. we lead the all time series something like 58-43. we pretty much hate them, but their move to the big east will help us with having a bcs school at yager every other year - if you really want to include the big east in the bcs.thewebboy wrote:I was just wondering who was the biggest/most popular school (non-MAC) to ever play us in at the Doyt?

I don't. Last season portends the future -- and the future will be laughing at the Big East.redhawk95 wrote:thewebboy wrote: if you really want to include the big east in the bcs.

Everyone should be included in the BCS, even the Big East.Schadenfreude wrote:redhawk95 wrote:I don't. Last season portends the future -- and the future will be laughing at the Big East.thewebboy wrote: if you really want to include the big east in the bcs.
