EMU thread
Re: EMU thread
You're a 175 pound back-up DB in a 51-7 game on a cold November day and your team is 2-8 on the year...and William Houston breaks the line and is coming right at you. I guess it builds character?

1,444 Fred Durig, 1951 (259 yards)
1,414 Dave Preston, 1974 (229 yards)
1,185 Paul Miles, 1971 (18 yards)
Might he break he season record next Friday?

I like our chances if he does.Globetrotter wrote:lFalconfreak90 wrote:Greene came in today at 1,167 and has 126...1,293 for the year.Globetrotter wrote:I'm in beautiful French lick Indiana. Holy crap....Houston can move

12 straight qtrs without surrendering a TD....when was the last time our defense did that?

That's the most dominant 3 game stretch of football I have seen BG play. Kill Buffalo.

Holy cow. I know it's emu but I just looked at the box score. They only completed one lousy pass!?!? Dammmmmmn...nice job defense!
Re: EMU thread
Well, we hope that's all we lose, as long as we don't have starters bolt like Cooper and Samuel. But agreed, it looks very promising.Falconfreak90 wrote:Gotta replace Alex Bayer and Ty Beck, Chief and Dom F. GO BG!!!
Re: EMU thread
Just got indoors, and I am still frozen solid. The wind was a KILLER, made temps feel like single digits, but the game made up for it and then some. Total domination! The pick six they had prevented a shutout but that was about the only low point of the game. Well that, and Coppet went down with an injury and left the field wearing a neck brace (hope he's okay). But great to see us keep things rolling in a big way again. For those of you there too, I don't think any of use expected to see so many points with that kind of wind in your face for two of the four quarters, but we enjoyed each one of them. Great finally seeing the second units out there too. Icing on the cake. NOW BEAT BUFFALO!
GO BG!!!
Re: EMU thread
EMU completed their first pass for 4 yards and then nothing the rest of the game. 65 total yards vs BG's 550 or so. Those are crazy numbers for a D.
BG and Buffalo are very similar with strong D, good running game and enough passing to have balance and keep the opposing D off balance. I think we are better but we'll see Friday.

UB's pass offense is as follows: first read, Neutz. Second read, Oliver. Third read, scramble. I think I know the keys to shutting down their offense.
