Now, please, please, please open up the offense a little earlier next Friday, because it will probably be needed against Northern Illinois.

The keys to offense early in the game will be the ability of the O-Line to be up to speed for protection early and the receivers need to make early catches. If these two things don't happen the play calling becomes conservative, with reason in my opinion, until both of these areas get their footing.

The game will be inside. Receivers were clearly impacted by the cold, so it will be a nice relief. Speaking of which ... when was the last time we played an indoor game? NIU has been to the MAC title every game since 2010 so there is a bit of an advantage to them there, they are used to the stadium. No idea how big of an impact that is. I hope we have a HUGE crowd there to make it basically a home game!

IIRC, doesn't Idaho have an indoor stadium? Seems like Brian had an 82 yd. punt there, or something similar. Other than that, I can recall being at Ford Field vs. Northwestern...Great facility, comfortable for fans AND the players.

Idaho has the Kibbie dome and yes Brian S had an 82 yard punt. I think that is the last dome we played in.
