I'm putting a template together of game pucks used for different NCAA schools.
I've set up a temporary website with the information I've gathered so far.
Anyone know what year these Bowling Green pucks were used in games or have more information for me to ad?

Your help is appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Questions about BG game pucks
Cool idea! The very last one on the bottom right is a commemorative puck that was made for the 20th anniversary of the program. They were given out at the dinner they had. They also had 20th anniversary jerseys that were framed. It was never used for games. I have all four of those pucks pictured at the bottom, but have no idea what years the other three were. I also am thinking that the one that says BGSU ICE HOCKEY (next to the anniversary puck) was a puck you could buy at the school bookstore, but may not have been used at games, though I'm not certain.
Good luck!

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Thanks Fanatic,
Would you mind telling me what is on the reverse side of those 3?
Hopefully I'll update the page later today.

Wasn't that the 20th anniversary of the National Championship team?Falcon Fanatic wrote:Cool idea! The white puck was the late 90's I believe. I want to say 98-99 or 99-00 (95% sure it was after Woody retired, and before my last year). I'm thinking it was right before the Orange letters with white outline. I never thought about marking the years on pucks when I got them.

Basically I have 3 methods of narrowing the dates on pucks.pdt1081 wrote:Wasn't that the 20th anniversary of the National Championship team?Falcon Fanatic wrote:Cool idea! -Change in school logos
-Manufacturer of puck. (Example: Vegum pucks from 1992 and prior were marked Made in Czechoslovakia and from January 1993 they are manufactured as Made in Slovakia)
-Conference logo changes. (Example: Commissioner changes, trademarks added, logo/conference changes)
-Information from someone else. Person caught a puck, worked for the team, played for them etc.....
Thanks again to everyone for their help!
