I will be there for sure.

Quite possibly the Mrs. and Minor Falcons as well. Grandma Major Falcon (Mom) and brother from the other NW Ohio school expressed interest in going. Hopefully a total of 7.

If anyone likes good beer, I suggest stopping by Jacoby's Biergarten on Brush before the game. Great selection of real German beer and very friendly staff. We will likely hit up them first and then go to the Shillelagh.

I badly want to be at this game but can't make it in from Chicago. I can only hope they end up back in Detroit for the bowl game because I already have that blocked off on my calendar if it works out.

Hoping to come/ w my son in law if he can get out of work early. Biggest "problem" is that my granddaughter's FIRST birthday party is Sat., so we'll have to stay overnite, perhaps in BG, then head down to Dayton early Sat. am.
(honestly couldn't believe that my wife even SUGGESTED that I go, after saying for quite awhile that she wanted me down in Dayton for the two days prior to the party.) :-k

I have a buddy at Marathon trying to find us some free tickets.

If that doesn't work out, what is our best bet?

Do we have until Thu/Fri to purchase from the ticket office?

I'll be going with a friend. Also saw on Twitter posted by the athletic department 4 hours ago that they have filled TEN buses already!!! \:D/
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

No, BG tweeted their ticket allotment is going fast. If you can't get free ones I would try to get the $10 ones from BG.

**I tried getting 2 this morning from the BG website for family and get this message when trying to order 2 or more seats (there are scattered singles):

"Unfortunately one or more of your selected seats are no longer available. Please reselect new seats."

I'm assuming this means BG sold out it's allotment?

Straight from the Ticket Office.... BG allotment is sold out. They directed me to the Ford Field website to purchase tickets.

I suppose that is a good thing. Make this feel like a home game!

How ridiculous is it to limit a school to 3K for their ticket office to sell? Now, thanks to my "undecided" son in law, it's gonna cost me over twice the bucks IF he finally decides he'll be able to get off work (he's his company VP!).
It's not that I can't afford it, but I just think the whole thing is dumb. How in hell does the MAC agree to these things? (Oh, I forgot ... we'll play on Tues. and Wed. nites for the "exposure".) #-o

As I pointed out in another thread it likely isn't the MAC or Ford Field deciding how many tickets BG ticket office sells, it is likely BG. Remember that NIU's tickets are FREE to Season Ticket Holders and BG's tickets were half off the face value of $20. Similar to bowl tickets (I think last years Military Bowl had a face of $75 but bought from BG were $10 or $20 each?) the BG athletic department is likely paying full price of $20 per ticket then eating the difference to get people to buy them/offer a discount to fans.

I don't believe this. A bowl game after Christmas in DC. I can understand feeling you have to do something to move $75 tickets.

The dumb thing is, the first 3,000 who bought tickets...we're probably season ticket holders or die hard fans who would have paid $20 per ticket. Why not secure 5-8k tickets and sell the first 3,000 at a discount for students, alumni, etc.

In a 60,000 seat stadium you would think the MAC would let BG have 15,000 tickets. There's going to be 20-22k there at the most, anyway.

Oye, I have a bad feeling NIU will have as many fans in Detroit as we do.
