Whether you pay $10 or $20 for a ticket, it is a pretty damn good deal. You get to see a D-I conference championship featuring a ranked and undefeated opponent with a Heisman Trophy candidate; the game is being played in a beautiful modern NFL stadium; the game is only an hour and a half away from campus; and after the last several games - we won't freeze watching this one like the OU, EMU and UB games. We have a shot at winning the first MAC title in over 20 years! Enough said!

Should I wait and get tickets at the door? Or pay the $9 convenience fee and buy them through the Ford Field/Lions website?

Either buy them at the ticket office or from someone outside the venue...but I wouldn't pay more than face for anything outside.

That's my plan anyway.

If you buy tickets at fordfield.com you have the option of using Flash Seats, which loads your tickets onto your smart phone if you download a free app. They have scanners at the gates. That way you can avoid will call.

Used flashseats at the Cavs game last week. It's awesome. About time that they started doing ticketing that way for major sporting events.

Really sweet too that you can easily transfer the seats to anyone, so if you wanted you could buy a bunch of them then send them off to your friends' smartphones.

Beats the hell out of paper tickets.

Cheaper, quicker, harder to counterfeit....win win. If you haven't had a chance to see a game at Ford Field...it's almost worth the $20 just for that. Great sightlines, noisy as hell with the right crowd and they have craft beer stands in the concessions areas...it's my favorite venue...better than Comerica park even...

While Mobile offers a great party atmosphere with all kinds of events, the comfort and convenience of the Pizza Bowl at Ford Field is very attractive.

ford Field is a GREAT football venue!
