I wonder how this will work for him? Will he get two years somewhere else? I don't at all want him to leave because I think he is a solid rotational player but I completely understand him leaving with his dad likely out after the year.

This is a huge hit to our depth. Very tough loss. Well, see ya next year!

I doubt we will be seeing him ever again. I think both will be gone after this year. This is a big blow for many reasons, but mostly depth. He was already a starter, but we are essentially only playing 8 guys and have very little depth. It means in games where fouls start to mount, we're in trouble. This also goes right back to us not filling our scholarships which made no damn sense to me. Now, it becomes even a bigger issue. On top of that, Denny hasn't even practiced, let alone played, so he is probably out for the year too.

Our 1,2 and 3 positions are 1,2 and 3 in terms of minutes in all of the MAC. This is a recipe for fatigue and injury. They need to start playing their walk-ons more.

Louis Orr isn't getting fired by BGSU...his contract won't be renewed. That has a different ring to it than an outright dismissal...I could see Chauncey Orr staying here. He's a solid MAC basketball player...I think he's a bit undersized at SF ad maybe a step slow as a SG, but he's not completely overmatched at either spot. Uprooting yourself and packing off to another college when you're smack in the middle of a degree program is a pain in the ass...it might be mire trouble than it's worth to Chauncey Orr

Louis Orr would be a hell of a hire for a smaller Christian college....I don't see him getting another D1 HC job and at 56 years od, he probably doesn't want the grind of being a D1 assistant and all the travel and hassle of recruiting. Find a nice NAIA gig like the University of the Cumberlands, teach the kids some basketball, do a little ministry work through your program and enjoy your life....
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Look at you all positive, logical and empathetic. I love it. And totally agree.
