Based upon what I remember Brandon saying last night, it appears Rhett is going to be a wide receiver.

That's his listed position on the press release . . . I hope he has a great 40 time or is able to add 15-20 b/c 165 lb. receivers don't seem durable.

The article in the Sentinel that highlighted the defense mentioned Hood as a back up DB. Simonton will also be a senior, so we may not need to play any of the freshmen DBs

On the RB side, Melvin Cole has been moved back to RB from CB, but he has yet to be cleared to play after lacerating a kidney against Temple.

I'd move Johnson, maybe to WR, and integrate Barnes into the program as scout team/3rd string QB. The fact that he ran an offense similar to ours in HS leads me to think that they'd like to see him at QB, but with Omar and Turner blocking him, who knows. With Washington gone, they may not want to have a true freshman as the 3rd string guy so Johsnon may just stay where he is.

I think they really want to find a way to get his speed and athleticism on the fleld

Your last statement is what I was getting at all along. There's also something intriguing about these walk-ons from Miami, Little Rock, AR and New Jersey . . . Seems like a long way to go and a lot of money to spend if you don't think you can play! Martell Mallet is the RB from Little Rock.

Nice pick up on Petey and Cole, I read the Tribue about once every four years!
