If you are planning on going to N Illinois I'd give the Holiday Inn Express a call asap. They have only one or two rooms left. I was told by another local hotel that they expected to be completely out of rooms by the end of the week. The number for the Holiday Inn is 815-748-7400.
Phoned the ticket office at BG and got my tickets as well. Will post where me and the boys are sitting. Any potential of setting up a pro BG tailgate in the parking lot there? I can't be bothered to drink with any of the locals, so if any orange shirts want to get together for some beers before the game I can do some research and see if there is a pub close to the stadium we could meet at and then move onto the parking lot later on. I expect that myself and my two friends will be in dekalb by 1pm est.

Read my post from about a week ago on traveling. Traveling is terrible through Chicago. No matter what way you go you will get into at least a 2 yr delay from construction. No way around it. I-80, I-90, I-88 all under construction. Also, consider staying in Aurora, IL. 20 miles frm DeKalb, lots of Hotels, Casinos, Restaraunts, Shopping Malls, and strip clubs. Take your pick.

Aurora has several hotels. One that comes to mind is Comfort Inn on Broadway St. It is about 1 mile from I-88, which is the toll road you take from Aurora to Dekalb. Near the hotel is a restaraunt, very good one. Walter Paytons Roundhouse. Yes you guessed it. The Walter Payton. Across the street is a casino. Within a few blocks are more bars, restaraunts, and even the train station if you want to take the train to Chicago. Shopping mall a few miles away from the hotel. Not sure of the phone number but I am sure it should not be hard to find.
Plus a Thursday night you should get a good rate. Friday may cost you a little bit more if you decide to come back and stay again.

Hey Falcons!
Fatty's and Molly's are good bars walking distance from Huskie Stadium.
Molly's has a well earned reputation for the beauty of its female patrons.
Have beer nuggets at Molly's.
If you want to eat a "higher quality" lunch, try O'Leary's Irish Pub in downtown Dekalb.
O'Leary's is not really walking distance from the stadium.
Looking forward to meeting some of you.
Good luck against the Sooners.
