We may have 400-700K more and a very very good head coach.
What was Clawson's buyout? We need to make that higher.

Somone posted $200K-$250K.
You can't set a buyout unilaterally. It's a negotiated contract provision. Set it higher than the market and you'll likely miss out on the candidate you really want.

Yep...we aren't in a position to put restrictive out clauses and prohibitive buyouts on people.
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
Re: If we lost the mac championship
We could have (and likely would have) lost him even if we lost to NIU, just like Kent State did last year with Hazell vs NIU. Like it or not, he was clearly looking to move up. I wanted him to stay and wish he was still here, but he was in the mix for some jobs last season and was certainly again this season. If it wasn't Wake Forest, it could have been UConn or somewhere else. I am just thankful he left after putting us on top in the MAC and not coming close and falling short.Globetrotter wrote:We may have 400-700K more and a very very good head coach.

I believe it wasn't the market rate. Someone recently posted a similar coaches buy out at nearly double. I don't want it to be restrictive. Just want to get as much as possible when he leaves.
