At least we are not eastern michigan

Post by sportydude1818 »

No matter who we hire or wha we do lets just be thankful we are not eastern michigan.. They just hired the coach from drake a glorified division 3 ( fcs non scholarship ) program.. I'm sure this place is a disaster that no other legitimate coach or coordinator would touch

They at least ponied up and gave their new coach a $400K contract.

From what I've read he's had some success running programs located near much larger institutions....that would seem like an important qualification for working at EMU

You certainly don't have to be DI to be a legitimate coach. Oklahoma State's OC was hired straight out of Shippensburg. That seems to be working so far.

And as more mid-major coaches are plucked by P5 schools, this is where the G5 schools are going to have to look for replacements.

whoever Eastern Michigan hires always represents the bottom the conference can do. Given that, I think the conference can do pretty well. This is a good hire for Eastern Michigan.

EAstern and Miami have one way to go....we need to stay at the top of the heap. I look for Akron to start getting things done. They started and ended on a very positive note.

I have BG first in the east next year and Akron second. A four game turnaround will do that.
