Well when he builds us into the next Boise... We won't need your money and you don't have to come see us play..on top of that the punt is the most important play won national championships.... That pay for players has no merit ..your just making stuff up.. NCAA violations happen all the time what happened at OSU is minor..... Thats why Akron knows what a special person coach and administrator they have

He is extraordinarily well thought of at Akron and in most parts of Ohio and OSU fans look at him as a martyr who was looking out for the best interest of his players.

The negativity around Tressell here is the real trolling and the real joke. I don't think he is squeaky clean but Akron will be much much much better off with him there. The fundraising aspect in itself will allow him to do great.

I don't think he is traditionally qualified in anyway but if you can build real academic leaders around him he can do great things despite his faults. BG would have improved tremendously with him here in any role.

Wow!!! I didn't think what Clarett did was that serious, but if Tressel saved him to life, then he must of been facing the death penalty. Way to go Tress! Atleast Clarret can compare and constrast his tats with all his prison friends the rest of his life!

Again, it's not 2 more years. He still has 3 because these punishments were not given until December 2011. Also has to be suspended 5 games and can't coach any bowl or championship games. Not to mention hiring a show cause head coach I believe is unprecedented so every eye the NCAA could spare would be on him and BG.

No. He knowingly lied to the NCAA to gain a competitive advantage. He's as dirty as he gets. That lie puts all of his accomplishments as a coach in question.
