FAU: According to ESPN's Brett McMurphy, Charlie Partridge's five-year contract is worth $2.76 million, and he will be introduced on Tuesday.

$552,000 per year.

We aren't cheap. We don't have as much money as those other places. My money is on one of the FCS guys. They are a good fit here. They are used to making do with less. The guy at Towson looks great to me as does the guy at EIU. Both have BCS assistant experience. And proven head coaches unlike Durkin.

Scheirer is great on Twitter. I think that that is a huge plus.

Have had the pleasure to meet Babers at EIU. Would be a decent coach. Really energized the EIU program offensively over the past two years. Personally, I would like to see Scheier get a good look. He is working hard for the opportunity. Kids like him and he would bridge the existing athletes and the new 14 class.

Id love for him to be kept in some capacity but I don't think it's too much of a sideways move.

Says the guy who hasn't donated a penny to the program.

Go ahead and Chuck Berry to your list of candidates.

Here's some video of him while at USC http://t.co/SxuOjjn4lN

Does the administration wait until after the bowl game to make announcement?

I really think Dino Babers...good background, and runs a good offense that would fit the style of players we have. I like D.J. Durkin but I think it's too early to tell how he might do as a HC. I know he's a fellow alum, but with no HC history it scares me. JMO

Clawson hired Kevin Higgins (The Citadel HC) as a WR/assistant to the HC at Wake Forest. I know that current assistants at BG will have to wait until a new coach is hired in order to determine if they will remain at BG, but this certainly improves the chances of current WR coach Mark Carney staying at BG. Interesting, as many thought Clawson would hire Carney. Maybe he told Clawson he wanted to stay at BG? Who knows.

Also, just an opinion, but I would guess that RB coach John Hunter will be staying regardless. He is the recruiting coordinator and I believe oversees most of the recruiting in Michigan (Gabe Martin, Aaron Foster, DJ Lynch, Charlie Walker, Justin Ford, Isaiah Gourdine). Hunter is a BG grad and I don't think he'd leave. Also, the running backs have performed so strong that I think the new coach would keep him for that alone, and given the fact that has recruited very well.

The I-AA coaches would be a mistake. Babers has only been at EIU for 2 years and would leave us as quickly as he left them and we're back to square one. Ambrose graduated from Towson and constantly professes his love for them, so if he were to leave his "dream job" you know he'd be short term here. Plus, they both earned their stripes as builders and we don't need to be rebuilt.

I'm with Hart and Mruczkowksi. We are fortunate to have an alumni pool in Division IA coaching that meet or exceed the qualifications for the job AND bring affinity for the university itself. Having been here for 5 years, Coach Scheier also fits this description.

On Carney, he switched coaching positions from QB's to WR's when he came to BG. He's a Clawson guy and it would be surprising if he didn't follow him in some capacity.
