For all the reasons to give Coach Stud the job the recent offensive performances of LSU are not among them. Low rankings, little passing game to speak of and the ugly shutout against Alabama in the championship game were the hallmarks before Cam Cameron came on board this past year.

If LSU is indeed trying to push him out might he be receptive to a coordinator/assistant head coaching role under Durkin? A couple years back Colorado had two well-known alums as finalists for their job. One became the head coach and the other became offensive coordinator. (Then again, they were both fired after going 4-21 in two years)

i have not heard anything about anyone being pushed out, but i havent done research around the web... i would say that considering he was the offensive line coach, not the coordinator, they were playing great teams (i think mostly without their starting qb) i dont think you can put the bad performances on the offensive line coach... but again i didnt watch each game...

im sure that if you nitpick at any candidate enough youll find a similar, not flattering line for all of them. so id step back and look back at the context... to me, because of his roots, his experience and where his career is currently at, i think he is as close to a perfect candidate as you would ever find for Bowling Green.

I dont say all this because stud and i are friends, we havent spoken in nearly 10 years, but i still have a great deal of respect for him and i feel this is an opportunity to separate themselves a bit from every single other team in the Mac right now in terms of leadership and the future.

but again, if an AD is trying to make BG a stepping stone for his own career, he may look to find the next Urban Meyer so that it reflects well on him and he could see similar advancement, so Stud may just not be a sexy enough name for the people making the decisions...

This thread is officially worthless without pics.

But before the pics, let me say that Kate Upton is the HOTTEST model I've ever seen. She's not some stick figure, she actually looks like a real woman, and a damn HOT one. Verlander has VERY good taste, to say the least. I wish they would have lasted for longer so we could have gotten some gratuitous Kate Upton crowd shots every time he pitched.

As for Clawson -vs- Meyer, I think I understand it all. I think Meyer is a much better football coach, especially on gamedays. But Clawson stayed here and finished what he built to a championship, so I can certainly understand why the fans here would like him better. He also stayed an additional 3 years, and I'd be pretty shocked if Urban wouldn't have had us winning titles as well if he would have stuck around. Personally, I love what both coaches did at BG. Both came into programs with serious issues and righted the ship to build something that looks(-ed) sustainable for the long haul. Hopefully Babers will do better than Brandon at keeping the ship sailing forward.

That's it exactly...Meyer pulled us out of the mud, but he really didn't build anything other than a reputation...he was only here two years. Clawson actually built a program. He didn't take short cuts and burn a ton of redshirts. Because of that, Babers has the chance to come in here and blow the doors off for two years on Clawson's guys alone and move up and out.
