POLL: By the middle of the 3rd quarter... (Sept 4th)
I love polls--they're so fun. I am curious as to the what most people on this board think. I tend to favor the "breath holding" scenario, but hopefully not for long.

OU would never rest White that early, even in the event they were up 42-17. It's odd, but it's Bob Stoops' philosophy. He was in the game until the 4th quarter last year even with OU beating Texas A&M 77-0 after 3 quarters. That being said, I don't think OU fans will be holding their breath, but I don't think they'll cover either.
Lots of breath holding
There seems to be a lot of breath holding going on, according to this post...I think that it will be a lot closer than people expect, but I see it being a situation somewhere between White resting and breath holding...it will be just enough out of hand for the crowd to be relaxed, but not enough for Jason to be sitting yet....hopefully, it is a good, wel-fought game...

Re: Lots of breath holding
thats what Ohio State had going on last year... 24-7, mid-to-late in the fourth, then a long drive, an onside kick and a three (two?) and out later, and BG has two shots at the endzone for the tie.topdaug wrote:...it will be just enough out of hand for the crowd to be relaxed, but not enough for Jason to be sitting yet....hopefully, it is a good, wel-fought game...
Given that chance again, I'd take it (given the alternative with a powerful Oklahoma team), though I'd also much rather not have to rely on onside kicks to get the ball back!
