BG almost dead last in NCAA in 3-pt FG% and free throw%!!!

Post by BGSU33 »

I knew our three-point shooting and free throw shooting was bad, but I didn't realize just how bad. BG is #338 out of 351 in the NCAA in threes and #323 in free throw shooting! We're making just .275% of our attempts on threes and 63% on free throws! This has been an epidemic under Orr for years! Wow, just wow....

Well you very seldom get better at shooting, when adding bigs who can't score in high school. Look at the individual percentages. Holmes is the best at both. Amazing.

Completely agree, most of these guys were not very good shooters in high school, and shooting is something that rarely improves in college. As the level of the MAC has fallen, so has the skill/talent/iq level of the players we see at BGSU.

As bad as we've been this year, tonight we brought the numbers down even more. Pathetic!

As sad as the shooting was they were in the game. One good outside shooter and a handful more free throws go in and they probably win this one. Eastern was less than impressive themselves. Add Chauncey to the mix and that may have been enough.

Outside of shooting we don't make very good passes to the posts or anyone else really.

Speaking of Chauncy, where was he? We didn't even see him tonight.

Maybe they ran out of those nice grey sweatsuits and he had nothing else to wear. Stayed in locker room and watched video feed.

Maybe he was online searching for a new school to transfer to after this year.
