Article and video interview of Chris Jones

Post by Falcon Fanatic »

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."
~~USCHO Poster
"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

He had 4 tackles and a sack and is now off to play the winner of Denver / San Diego in the AFC championship game. Way to go!

Must've missed the sack as I'd turned off the game for quite awhile....saw him get a "piece" of a RB with a diving tackle, for which he "wasn't" credited by the announcers.

Remember when Diyral Briggs returned to campus with a Super Bowl ring in tow from the Green Bay Packers? It would be great to see another.

The Pats are back in the same position. Go Chris!

During his intros this year on NBC, Jones has said "Bowling Green State" when his name comes up.

It might be an ironic nod to those who cringe when this is mistakenly said by outsiders, but most people don't know that. It's only relevant now because NBC has the Super Bowl, meaning tens of millions of people could hear this detestable misnomer and think it's what the university is called.

Bowling Green, BG or BGSU!

This does not bother me that much. If we want people to stop saying "Bowling Green State," we should change the name of the university to "the University of Bowling Green." In the meantime, this isn't that big a deal to me.

People abbreviate every other state school. Kent State, Ball State, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Texas State, etc. What's so wrong with Bowling Green State? Now, some schools would be confused with a different school if you left off the State (generally, those named after an actual state). But, Morgan State, Bowie State, Ferris State, Lake Superior State, and Morehead State are all examples of schools that use the word State as part of their name, however dropping it would not cause confusion with a different school. We're just lucky to be a school where you can go to Bowling Green, Bowling Green State, or Bowling Green State University, and everybody knows what that is. Do you want to attend Ball, or perhaps Morgan, Bowie, or (shudders) Morehead? Holy crap, those don't even sound like schools at that point!
ROLL ALONG!!!
