Kingston, please do something now!
Pay them and let them walk. Find someone from the rec center to coach this team for the rest of the season, it doesn't even matter anymore. This is six years of this crap out of his seven years. PLEASE, make it stop! Please, I am begging you....

Can we suspend the program during the Olympics??? Can't be any worse.
Re: Kingston, please do something now!
I'd rather just forfeit the rest of the season and end it right now.gmartin wrote:Can we suspend the program during the Olympics??? Can't be any worse.

Next year probably won't be much...if any..better as the new coach retools the roster. 2015/2016 looks to be our year!!
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
Re: Kingston, please do something now!
Agreed. Which is why I was hoping like crazy we'd have cut Orr loose last year. We're two years away from Orr's last game from doing anything.

ROCK BOTTOM. It's shocking it took this long. Unfortunately, the program would have been better off if it had. Thank you Lou for killing the program. Thank you Mr. Fundraiser for quite possibly the worst contract extension in MAC history.
Re: Kingston, please do something now!
Worst basketball in the conference being played in the newest building. Anderson Arena was called the House that Roars. The Stroh Center is the House that Snores. Kerm Stroh and company had the place built brick by brick and Orr and his team are taking it apart brick after brick. Pathetic!

Re: Kingston, please do something now!
It's partly on the people who gave the money too. If they demanded better, they would get better. Couldn't have timed a new building at worse time with a worse coach in place. Orr should have been fired before he left the Stroh after losing to Central 2 years ago. But, Fundraiser didn't want that on his resume and the people with money were more concerned with shapes of urinals than the incompetent staff on the sideline. Brutal.

Re: Kingston, please do something now!
Notice that the attendance figures were the same for the women's and men's games...Want to bet that there were just a "few" less folks hanging around for the last 10-15 min. of the guy's game.
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)
Re: Kingston, please do something now!
There were a LARGE number of fans that left after the women's game. My guess is that there were at least 500 fewer people there for the men's game.
Re: Kingston, please do something now!
A friend of mine, who has purchased men's season tickets for over 20 years, says he won't be back again this year with Orr as coach.
Re: Kingston, please do something now!
I can't believe he stuck it out that long! I pulled the plug on my men's basketball tickets this season. I talked crap for the last five years about doing it and kept coming back for more, but this year I finally did what I said I was going to do. I put that money towards extra stuff for football's MAC Championship game and bowl game and will be tossing a little to baseball this spring. No more until they show Orr the door. Now if I could only keep myself from watching online since I am not coming, I really don't know why I keep doing this to myself...GB68 wrote:A friend of mine, who has purchased men's season tickets for over 20 years, says he won't be back again this year with Orr as coach.

The group that sits around us has quite a good time making jokes about our ability, coaching and play, which actually makes it quite entertaining at times.
Re: Kingston, please do something now!
Yeah, if you do go just watch the dysfunction that is the team bench. Assistant coaches sitting on 2 seats as if they are still players. The DBO just starring off into the stands during timeouts. Sending players back from timeouts with a full minute left in the timeout. It's like a bad high school team.

It's about all you can do at this point. You either laugh about it, or pound your head against a wall.factman wrote:The group that sits around us has quite a good time making jokes about our ability, coaching and play, which actually makes it quite entertaining at times.
