So does anyone know if we've offered this kid...or what his reaction was IF We did?

Re: 4* safety visiting this weekend....
I asked the reporter from Erie if he had an offer from the HC in writing or a verbal offer....he didn't really answer other than to say he had a full offer in July and accepted. So I asked him again, was this a written offer from the HC or a verbal offer from an asst? I will pass along his response if he makes one.

Re: 4* safety visiting this weekend....
That's really the 64,000 question and the answer seems pretty clear considering both pieces fail to mention anything about a letter in writing, something that would cement the accuracy of their account and something they'd concievably be screaming from the rooftops if they had. If there's no letter from the HC then apologies are in order by a lot of people.
While getting both sides would have been nice, this comes down to something as simple as confirming the basic facts of one side. The Erie writer never confirmed it and Wagner used that "published report" as the source for his own story.

Guess you guys misunderstood my question, which had to do with the MAIN topic of this thread, the kid who'd decommitted from Louisville, and was on a visit to BG.... As far as I'm concerned the PA. incident is over...hope THAT kid does get an offer from someone...maybe then his coach will be at peace.

Ballew has committed to BGSU according to reports on Twitter today. This is a HUGE get for Babers and the program. Kid was the 27th ranked safety in the country.

Looks like we "traded" a 2* WR to Louisville for a 4* safety!

Javonte Bagley looked REALLY good on film though....big and fast. What's really screwy is he's the thrd WR we've had poached this year. It's like we're scouting them for U and now Louisville. Damn snakes!!
Really excited about Ballew committing...

I agree about Bagley, but we probably are more in need of a top safety, than a WR, where we seem to be pretty strong.

Yeah..we probably are in need of more safeties. I think they recruited Gourdine to play safety, but he looked awfully good at CB late last year. It's be nice to have a 6-2" sht down corner.
Adding Lewis and Dieter to the talent we return at WR....Johnson could throw for 4,000 yards this season.

Re: 4* safety visiting this weekend....
Our safties had a way of transforming into outside linebackers/rovers in the previous defense so the more the merrier. WR is easily the deepest position on the roster and the easiest to replenish.
