Again you all are proving your ignorance for athletics. A true Olypmic training facility brings in thousands of fans to watch the athletes perform. Hell, in Michigan people pay to watch the athletes train. In Bowling Green the only people paying money to watch our "Olympic athletes" perform are the ignorant fans posting above me. Our attendance is the lowest its been in years! We barely average over 2,000 fans a game (2,164 to be exact). You should be ashamed of yourselves calling the BGSU Ice Arena and Olympic training facility.

Obviously all the attention hasn't paid off. You would think with all these people knowing about BGSU because of the Olympics we could fill more seats at games. Especially during a season where we've had our best record in years. Unfortunately, the better we do the less people that come. Another reason why are program is an embarrassment.

Keep feeding me with your ignorant statements. Its actually starting to get boring because you all set me up with your ignorance. Especially poltergeist.

Guys, I don't usually post on the hockey site, but isn't it TIME to END this thread? All you keep doing is "feeding the troll" as you say... just end it and get it over with...don't think the ice arena is going to be used for anything else but skating and hockey etc.

facts are painful things to trolls.

2013-14 home hockey attendance (avg): 2,164
2013-14 home men's basketball attendance (avg): 1789

Looks Like New Basketball Arenas Don't Mean More Fans

Young poltergeist with another ignorant post. Speaking of trying to ignore the facts, the low attendance I was referring to is if you compare last years attendance at hockey (2,518 a game) to this year's attendance (2,164 a game). It's cool though, end the thread, continue to ignore the downward spiral. Do what you can to run away from the issues. Pathetic.

You say "continued downward spiral" in one thread, but then mention the best record in years in another. I'm just confused on how the best record in years for the team = continued downward spiral, especially since the record and winning percentage of the team has improved every year the staff has been here. Yes we get it attendance is down, pretty sure everyone expected that with the CCHA ending and lack of visits from the "name" schools of Michigan, Michigan State, and Notre Dame.

I dont mean to add any fuel to the fire but our schedule has been the easiest one in probably the 30yrs. Our improving record can get tossed out the window. I like to look at how we are playing....first half of the year was pretty solid even throught a pretty tough stretch of games. The second half of the year has been baffling, our schedule was cake and we have dropped the ball multiple times. We are just not improving....that is the truth.

^Don't make fun of the troll in an attempt to avoid logic. I might be a troll but you guys are the ones supporting an embarrassing hockey program. I think the members of AZZ are the only BGSU Hockey fans left. Everyone else is smart enough to spend their money elsewhere. I wouldn't be surprised if the players started falling through the ice soon because BGSU can't pay the bill to keep it cool. \:D/ :axe: ](*,)    :supz: :drinkers:

Actually, apollo is supporting IBleed and is absolutely correct. We played well to start with and beat teams we should have and had a good showing against difficult competition. Now, against the low teams, we struggle to beat them, and we look lost against the good competition. The team has just lost their way throughout the season, and it's a shame.

I think we can all agree that the last half of the season is not great. We are used to shitty first halves and then great runs in the second half, and everyone suddenly forgets about the first half. Now it's opposite and every one is freaking out. We have been consistently inconsistent throughout every season, but we have been getting slightly better OVERALL. Also, I didn't see anyone calling for the program to get shut down when we went to the joe a few years ago, with a losing record.
