BFD. We have a couple guys who can block shots - whoopty F'in doo! We suck at just about everything else.

According to Coach Stone on the post game radio show last night, a lot of our defense is BASED on the blocked shot!
I don't know what most think, but I was always taught that if you had to block a shot, you were out of position to begin with. Of course we never had anyone 6'10" on my high school team. ;-)

That's fantastic. Did he say what the offense is based on? The turnover? The bad pg? Or the shot clock? Clearly shooting doesn't matter, This staff is about as poor as you can get at the D1 level. With Gene Cross being the bottom level.

Based is the key word though so I certainly don't aggressively disagree but my guess is that what he meant was that their defense could be much more aggressive because they had two excellent shot blockers covering them up in the paint. Individually I agree with you but schematically what he says makes sense.

Jehvon Clarke was an assist away from cracking the top ten. I think it's somewhat fitting he didn't get it. He did sneak into the top ten steals for a season though.
