BG vs Miami

Post by gmartin »

Do not like these noon start times. BG over the years struggles on early start games. Of our few losses over the years majority are from early tip off.

Hoping for better outcome today.

Is this a field trip game? Looks like a naked attempt to try to throw off our timing and rhythm.

GO BG. Just put the Redhawks down in the 2nd half like you did OU and Kent the past 2 games.

Once again, MJ did not play and is sitting on the end of the bench. I have my thoughts on what's wrong with her, but I hope I'm wrong.

BG dominates the 2nd half to win. Nice game and BG clinches the MAC East and at least a #2 seed.

Go Falcons

BG beats Miami 73-56.

BG now 26-3 on the season. MAC EAST champs.

However it will be very hard beating Akron on Saturday as well as most likely Akron and then CMU with only 3 bench players. We really need M.J. or we will be a very tired team.

My thoughts with M.J. is mono but then with mono you should be home resting. Haven't heard of any news.

Miami hosts 4-5 school day games during the year and this was just another one of them. BG started off slow so hopefully this will prepare us for the noon start in the MAC semis

Unless we lose to Akron on Saturday, we won't have to face the Zips in Cleveland unless they upset CMU in the semifinals. Our semifinal opponent will likely be Buffalo or Western Michigan, whoever ends up as the 4th seed.

As I understand it, if we beat Akron and CMU wins out, we will need a coin flip to determine which side of the bracket we are on. So, if we lose the coin flip and are the #2 seed, then yes, we could have to play Akron in the semis.

NWO, you are correct. A coin flip could determine #1 and #2 seed. Could we just flip Coach Orr instead.

No kidding...that's the tiebreaker? Up to this point I figured it would be determined by whichever team came out ahead in either overall record or the RPI, both of which point in BG's favor. Figures the MAC would have a stupid tiebreaker procedure like that.

Oh well, beat Akron.
