Seems to me the program is on the move....first winning season since 2004-5 and home ice? And someone wants the coach fired? Forgive me for just now reading thru the thread but firing the HC would be totally absurd.

If you know the sport of hockey and have actually watched this team perform over the last 5 years, you notice immediately the vast improvement in skating, stickhandling, passing, checking, decision-making, and vision. Are we ready to compete week-in, week-out in Hockey East? No. Are we light-years closer than we were 5 years ago? YES. Any suggestion that this program is heading downward or stagnating can be dismissed as complete rubbish.

I have been going to Falcon hockey games for over 20 years, and my family has been attending for nearly 40. We have collectively watched this program rise to the pinnacle of the sport and slowly plunge into oblivion. We all agree that the play we've seen over the last 3 years has improved in every way. Falcon Hockey is back, and nothing a troll on the Internet says will change that reality.

So, we finished the regular season with a winning record (16-14-6), tied for 3rd place, and swept our very worthy opponents in the first round of the playoffs making us 18-14-6. Are the detractors on here going to come out and retract their statements? We can finish this season no worse than 18-15-6 so this is a legitimate winning season. iBleed? Apollo? Falcon1970?

They only come around during bad stretches, and vanish during good ones, hence why we haven't seen them around here lately.

I was simply making observations on how the team was playing.....yes the last two weekends they have been playing the way they are capable and that is great. I have been saying that our goal was to get to Grand Rapids and hope for a couple of upsets. If you want me to state my personal feelings on the team they are quite simple.....I think we are a slightly above average team in our league. If we still played in the CCHA we would struggle to finish any better than 9th or 10th place. Bergeron is a decent coach who may eventually get our team to a championship in WCHA. By no means has he overachieved, but did do a nice job getting the team turned around after a very poor second half. I'll be in Grand Rapids for the championship if we win game 1.

BGFan....people are allowed to state their opinions on a message board right???? Hopefully that is ok with you if I do that in the future.....I would you encourage you to go through my posts and see what I said that was completely inaccurate or trolling....If you have something to say PM me...or just keep calling me out and making yourself look dumb.

As someone who has been to a LOT of the games this year (home and away, mind you) I can say that Apollo wasn't far off with his comments.

I, too, was disappointed by the mid-season slump. We need to figure out how to close games better. Only then will we be in the top tier of the league

You are allowed your opinion, but let's not make any hasty generalizations and ask for the coach to be fired. I will be in Grand Rapids...on Friday.

First off I want to give credit where credit is due. The boys are playing some great hockey (no thanks to their coach) and that deserves some recognition. Now lets go through and answer some of the posts. I didn't have time to read them all because there was to much ignorance on this thread (mainly BGFalconHockeyFan94). However, I'm one person. Its comical that people think I'm more than one person, my apologies to Apollo for ruining the mans AZZ reputation. Two the team is going to finish over .500 in the cupcake conference and people are acting like we just won the national championship, also comical. I feel even worse for the dude that posted he's had to watch over 40 years or BGSU Hockey, poor guy. I'm not a former BGSU Hockey player, I'm an alum from a while back. I love Bowling Green, but I'm not ignorant about it. \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

Thank you for proving your stupidity and inability to read. Congratulations! Go back and re-read the posts and maybe you'll figure it out.
