I'm just so completely furious with the ncaa. Whoever said this is about the power conferences keeping all the cash is right on point. They protected their babies in the bcs tonight. Notice how all four of the last 4 out were teams from outside of the bcs. Very coincidental...sure.

It's hard to be a fan of college sports with this sh*t going on. Seriously, screw Oklahoma, screw Florida, screw Florida State...BG is better than all those teams and they know it.

He did refer to the entire body of work when he claimed that BG didn't prove it could beat tournament-level competition.

The MAC needs to get a tie in with McDonald's and change the conference name to the "Big MAC" because clearly...having the word "Big" in your conference name carries a ton of weight with the selection committee.

Bullshit but to be expected. Committee only uses RPI when it suits their agenda.

I want to say "I can't believe it" but this complete BS is to be expected. I agree with jg4242 - we could go 32-1 and be left out. Mid-majors don't mean a damn thing to the NCAA.

No matter that we've had what - twelve 20+ winning seasons straight?

It is absolutely ASININE that one loss dooms us.

Here's something to put in your pipe and smoke: Vanderbilt LOST their last 9 of 11 games of the season, and were seeded EIGHTH in the NCAA.

I hope that AKRON slams Purdue and we go far in the WNIT...

Interesting tidbit: If Ball State wins vs. Northwestern and Central Michigan wins against IUPUI, they play EACH other in the second round.

Michigan is in our bracket in the WNIT, so I'm happy with that...

Mustang,

You beat me to the "potential" matchup with CMU and BSU. Obviously they both have to win to get there but it'd be interesting.
Wish I had the time together back to campus onThursday...would like to help root the Falcons on.

I'm sure the Big West and Big South and their one bids would disagree with that

If we win our game against High Point and St Bonaventure wins their game, we will play each other. Kate Achter could be coming back to NW Ohio since she is the Associate Head Coach at St Bonaventure. That is assuming BG would host that game. What fun that could be.

Charlie Creme gets them right because he updates his list after the at-large bids have already been sent to ESPN. I have a friend who works there and he told me BG didn't make it at 11am yesterday morning. I didn't share because I was hoping he was wrong, but it was decided well before the selection show came on.

Doesn't the NCAA now run the NIT?

If so, the university should boycott the tournament in protest.

So we miss a game against High Point. Big effin' deal.

Yep. Look at the men's side. It killed them to give Wichita State a 1 seed so what do they do? Under seed their possible matchups. Can't tell me they didn't go out of their way to potentially put Kentucky, Louisville and Duke in their way.
