Game Thread vs. Rutgers
Re: Game Thread vs. Rutgers
Did anyone else think that Coach Stringer could have passed for Ozzie Osborne's twin sister last night?

According to channel 11 news, only 2,600 fans were at last nights game. There had to be more fans than that.
Anyways, back on topic. The women didn't seem like the same team that played St Bonaventure and Michigan. They seemed to hesitate when shooting, they didn't want to drive it inside.
I'm disappointed about the loss last night but at the same time I am happy that they made it that far. There's always next year.

Re: Game Thread vs. Rutgers
Well, 30-5. Not good enough! We seemed tired last night and Rutgers 16-4 or so run from the last 4 points of the first half and the first 7:00 or so of the 2nd doomed us. We were outplayed and out "quicked" the whole night and that made us stop driving the basket. So many times, with the shot clock under 10 seconds someone would drive the lane and not take the shot, but kick the ball out. We needed quickness in taking the 3's, but not so deep in the shot clock. Jillian's banker 3 fell while the buzzer was going off.
Anyway, 33-4 would have been better, but 31-5 would have made me happier. I wanted this win.

Never a good omen when there's more focus and hype about things surrounding the game (ticket sales, buyouts, NIT administrative policies, etc.) than the game itself.
