56-54 on a layup with 2 seconds left. UTEP was the host and had a sell out crowd of 12,222. BG has now lost to the WNIT Champs two years in a row.

Drexel last year and Rutgers this year. We did get beat at home for both of those games so can actually say with all the advantages BG had those two teams were better on that night.

I'm guessing at this, but if BG would have won they may have hosted the final four game but would have definitely been on the road for the Final. 12,000+ in a WNIT final is impressive by UTEP fans. We can't get that with Hockey, men's basketball and women's basketball added up in a single weekend.

Rutgers deserves to win. They beat us on our court and UTEP on theirs. A good story in the fact the played in front all those fans in Texas and came out on top - good for them.
