All the more reason to stop the madness and award the NCAA tournament bid to the regular season champion. Why even take a chance that your best team for three months or so gets bumped out and you end up with the No. 2, 3 or 4 seed playing in its place?
Come on MAC: show some balls and leadership, and go back to giving the regular season champions (men's and women's) the automatic bid to the tournament. May as well send your strongest representative, because the odds of getting an at-large bid are miniscule, and winning just got even harder for the women if they will be constantly playing on a high seed's home court.
