Ahem. According to bgsufalcons.com, the assistant coaches are:

LaMonte Stone
Louis Twigg
Dennis Hopson.

I think we should all just settle down about all these assistant coach rumors.

Coach Jans has been running practices by himself. Help is on the way....

Grumpy smurf back at it. You can't still be sick.

We can be 99.9% sure that's not the group that will be our assistants.

And another thing: what the $%&# are we doing with two number 5s on the roster? And why does Chauncey Orr get credit for being our leading PPG guy after playing only one game?

Yay! I was hoping we'd get him. He's from the state of Indiana, so he won't be surprised by the weather and he can recruit in the OH, IN, KY area.

According to hoopdirt.com Downey is now official as well

"I mentioned last week that I had heard North Alabama head coach Mark Downey was involved with an assistant spot at Bowling Green. I can now confirm that he has accept the job on Chris Jans staff. Downey just wrapped up his first season at UNA and he was the head coach at Charleston (WVa.) before that. The official announcement is expected shortly."

it's nice to see that we actually have assistant coaches now. Something we haven't had for the last 10 years. People who are actually qualified to be coaches and not people just sitting on the bench to fill the seats. Also both coaches come from two different geographical regions. Now we should be able to recruit within the state of Ohio Indiana and Kentucky as well as down south

Still no Steinburg and indications on the Kent board point to him staying there. Highmajorscoop and the rumor mill seem to have whiffed on that one.

In other current/former Wichita State assistant news, Dana Ford just landed the Tennessee State job and Greg Heier is being mentioned for the Southern Miss job with one of the best hashtags ever: #HireHeier
