Sealey played yesterday, which I'm pretty sure means he cannot redshirt so he's done after this year.
He was really good friends with a friend of mine in college. We played a pickup game at that BG park one time and he played with a hs kid who was about 6-6 guarding him. I played in HS but was not very good. I am really good at reading plays and passing but am just a really poor athlete so it usually doesn't matter because the better athletes can nullify that. Playing with Netter on my team was a bit different. I would just put it around the rim and he would just dunk it. I probably remember that hour in the park more than any of the games I played in HS.

I'd rather take on any and all transfers I can get. Half my roster would be transfers, half recruited players. If the freshman don't play within 2 years, they should probably be on another team by the junior year. College basketball has changed. One player can make the difference. The sport allows you to weed out your "misses" in recruiting. Get rid of them and get bigger schools "misses". The MAC has changed. You can't just try to recruit and develop a championship roster without more turnover these days. Just my opinion.
Goes back a ways but Casey Shaw was a 6' 10" redshirt who did OK.

Ya, you used to be able to get 6'10" kids that atleast had some skill. BG is recruiting that size with no ball skills. 10 years of college couldn't help these guys put the ball in the basket. Plus, with the frequency of transfers, why use 5 years of scholarship on a serviceable player at best?

Every year my wife and I spend two weeks this time of year in Fort Myers. A great relief this winter. So I was aware that Edwards played at Lehigh Acres which is a newer development (though a blue, blue collar one) of the Fort Myers area. Picked up the local player and the attached article indicated that Edward's team was knocked out of the Florida HS tourney despite his 27 points. Looks like he's had an overall good year.

Edwards finished with a game-high 27 points, and ends his Lehigh career as the all-time leader in points, assists and steals.

All his videos I could find. Please share your thoughts if you get time to take a look. Could he be the PG we need?

My thoughts
Adequate to above adequate ball handling
Seems like a decent passer
Very good touch around the basket
Good shooter atleast
Atleast adequate athleticism if not explosive
My favorite thing about him is that he often beat his man off the dribble and then just stopped and popped. That's not an easy shot and he made it look very easy.
Seems like his floor is adequate rotational pg. If he is a good enough athlete he might just be the pg we need. I worry about his level of competition.

If I was a betting man I would bet that it was on our end telling him that we didn't think he would see a ton of time here.

Edwards has been released from his letter of intent according to the Sentinel-Tribune

"Bernard Edwards, Jr. has been released from his national letter of intent to attend Bowling Green State University, a spokesman in the BGSU athletics communication office said today.
Currently a senior at Lehigh High School in Lehigh Acres, Fla., Edwards signed his letter of intent last November with former head coach Louis Orr.
A 6-foot-0 guard, Edwards has reopened his recruiting search.
Edwards averaged 21.9 points and 5.2 assists per game this season and 18.1 points and 4.1 assists per game for his 103-game high school career. He was a third-team Class 6A selection this season.
Chris Jans, BG’s new head coach, now has three scholarships available for the upcoming season."

Ya know, the best part is we never need to look back. Edwards may have been the greatest player to ever put on a BG uniform, but if he failed, it would have been Orr's fault. I wish him well, but I'm really happy he's going somewhere else.

The only "prospects" listed are tough to find and they are leftovers from the former coaches. Stone, BTW, is listed as an EMU prospect IIRC
