David Joseph 6-1 185 PG Juco JR Verbal COMMIT!

Nice read on him as a JR

"Johnny Flemming, Zion Lutheran's first-year boys' varsity basketball coach, said Joseph is coachable, patient, fundamentally sound and mentally strong.
"He understands what it takes to be a floor leader," Flemming said. "If we're playing a team that throws a gimmick defense at us, he'll change the play as he starts up the court. I don't have a problem with that. I trust his judgment, and the players on this team look up to him. They have a lot of respect for him.""
Looks like he goes by Pepe

Looks like he has very good handles and court vision. Strong to the basket and aggressive around it. Can't really tell much else.

FWIW Chauncey Orr was one of the first to welcome him to BG on twitter.

45.9% from 3 and 79.5% at the FT line....looks like a great signing. Jans started following him on Twitter a few days ago so that should have been the tip off.

Welcome to BGSU, David! You will forever be a part of BGSU history as Chris jans' first recruit.
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Looks to be a nice signing and in college ball, it all begins and as we know all too well .... ENDS in the backcourt. I like the idea of Clarke playing off the ball much better. Perhaps this move allows Chauncey to be the energy/glue/scoring sixth man ....

Interesting info indeed.
My takeaway is something like this:
PG- Pepe/ Tisdale
SG- Clarke/ Henderson
SF- Parker/ Orr
PF- Holmes
C- Nightly 50/50 raffle winner/next hopeful commit

This guy goes by Pepe. And he didn't include Gomez, Mayleben, DeMarkeo or Denny.

Let this guy play center.

61-
Yes, sorry, the Youtube video is titled "David Pepe Joseph" . . . Good catch on the guys I didn't include, maybe personal taste, but I don't see any of them ever becoming factors down the road. I see that as pretty much our rotation going forward. The others will be sprinkled in, sure, but I don't see how they become major contributors.

It will be exciting to see how things shakeup, especially at C where Gomez is the penciled in starter. Denny probably has a role stretching the court, we will see if he is otherwise athletic enough.OptionQB wrote:61-
