The way I read it, the agreement basically makes UT a junior college for two years (we all knew it), supplying BG with students for the final two years!

They get an Associate degree from The School Up North (and The School Up North gets state money for the completion of the degree).

Then the student transfers to BGSU and gets the bachelors degree from us (and BGSU gets state money for completion of the bachelors degree).

Win-win for BG (and The School Up North)

But not for the student, who has to go to the school up north for two years.

I understand that it was a move by BG to keep UT from offering their own 4 year aviation degree that they were considering starting.

Not the first time. BG doesn't offer a PhD in physics, so there is an agreement to allow BG students to complete a UT degree while still doing most of their work on the Bowling Green campus.

Nursing students go to Toledo for their final two years.
