Wonder how they determine the division a team is placed in.

All eight teams in Division I-AA play I-A football (it will always be I-A football to me just like Toledo will always be Toledo University - TU)

Its been in turmoil the last few years or at least seems that way to me. The haves are attempting to break away just like in other sports. So you have a situation where D1A(35 teams including B10) is not really better than D1AA(128 teams including MAC)....BG would lay waste to the B10. I think there was an effort to get some $$$ buy in to be considered D1A but its really difficult to get a complete story on rugby. If you drill down on the D1A or D1AA teams, you might notce that some of the best teams are in neither (Cal, BYU and Utah). I'm not sure where they are anymore.

How did we get to be such a dominant force in rugby? Obviously the Mazzarellas can coach and have built a tradition, but is there anything else?

Do we recruit? Do great high school rugby players just know to come to BG?

Colleges - Men's DI College

Led by a sterling effort from jack Arnold and showcasing a wide open style with plenty of offloads, the University of Arizona ran down Bowling Green 45-22 to make the 2014 DIAA Men'c College Final.

Bowling Green hoped to dominate up front, and they were solid in that area, but couldn't contain the Arizona backline.

The BGSU props played superbly and scored two late tries, but Arnold had the last word as the Wildcats booked a place in the final to face Central Florida on Sunday.

Arizona 45, Bowling Green 22. UCF beat San Diego for the other semi final win.

St Mary's beat Life for D1A championship 21-6

BYU beat Cal for the Varsity cup.
